How To Make a DIY Ring Holder in 5 Minutes

For a long time, I have wanted to get my wife a ring holder to place her wedding rings. She has never had a good place to put her rings at night for the 8 years we have been married.

Then I got an idea when looking through Pinterest…

…I have seen other DIY’ers making cake stands with a candlestick holder and large plate. I thought I could do the same thing, but in a mini version to make a ring stand that can sit on the bathroom counter. Perfect right? It is the ideal blend of function and style.

Here is what I did…I went to Goodwill and to seek a cheap candlestick holder and a small tea cup dish. I only had $3 to spend, so I was hoping I wouldn’t have trouble finding these items to meet my budget.

Luckily at the first Goodwill I went I found a nice short glass candle holder and beautifully simple floral tea cup dish…SCORE! Total cost for both item $1.49 plus tax…under budget without comprising style.

How to Make Your Own DIY Ring Holder

That is really all you need…simple right?

Step 1: CLEAN – Remove all tags and sticker from dish and candlestick. Then clean, with soap and water then let dry.

Step 2: GLUE – Turn tea dish upside down. Then with your hot glue gun, apply glue around the top of the candlestick holder. Place the top place of the candlestick holder on the center bottom of the tea dish. Do your best to eyeball the center, which is easier with the clear glass.

Step 3: DRY & FLIP – Let the hot glue dry for a minute then flip over. That’s all there is to this quick DIY Ring Stand.

My wife is using this stand for her rings and her favorite perfume. But you can also use this DIY stand for other things…

…candle holder…

…cellphone holder for your nightstand…

…an inexpensive soap dish or dish sponge holder…

…keys and change drop zone as you come home…

…anything else that is small and needs a place to call home so you can easily find it later.
